My Story

I graduated with my BSN in 2002 and spent years at the bedside, where I learned that nursing isn't about memorizing facts. It's about thinking through what's in front of you. I earned my MSN while working as a bedside nurse and raising two kids, so I know what it's like to study when you're exhausted and stretched thin.

In 2020 I became a nurse practitioner, and I later earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice. I've taught nursing at UNLV and Nevada State University, and every year I volunteer with Remote Area Medical, providing free care in rural Nevada.

Today, through Stethoscope to Success, I teach nursing students to think like nurses using the Clinical Judgment Measurement Model, the same framework behind the NCLEX. I've been where you are. Now I help you get there too.
